Allen Dale Valerius

	Allen Dale Valerius, age 28, of Yorkville, formerly of De Kalb, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at his home.  He was born March 21, 1975 in De Kalb, the son of Albert and Marlene (Sederberg) Valerius.
	Mr. Valerius was united in marriage November 2,2002 in Montgomery to the former Denise Janecek and they spent happy years of their lives together.  Allen was employed as a Kendall County Sheriff's Deputy.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors and doing such things as scuba diving and gardening.  He was a loving husband, son, step-father, brother and uncle who will be missed by his family, friends and many co-workers.
	Allen is survived by his wife, Denise Valerius of Yorkville; step-son, Christopher De Lange of Yorkville; parents, Albert and Marlene Valerius of De Kalb; sisters, April Valerius of Cortland and Terry (Shawn) Frazier of De Kalb; brothers, Carl (Fiancee Allyson Hannah) Valerius of Rockford and Larry Valerius of Cortland; father-in-law, Robert (Suzanne) Janecek of Naperville; mother-in-law, Karen (Theodore) Gunaka of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, as well as nieces and nephews, Robert, Curtis, Logan and Allena Frazier of De Kalb and Emma and Ella Valerius of Rockford.
	Mr. Valerius was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
	Funeral services for Mr. Valerius were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville with Reverend David S. Bilyeu of the First Baptist Church of De Kalb officiating.  Burial with police honors followed in the Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk.
	Friends called from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 19 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville.
	A memorial fund is being established for his family.
